This 46-year-old woman (5’7”, 145 lbs.) was diagnosed with invasive left breast cancer. Following a left skin-sparing mastectomy, immediate reconstruction with a transverse rectus abdominis musculocutaneous flap (TRAM flap, borrowing skin and soft tissue from the abdomen) was performed. Nipple construction with local flaps and areolar tattoo were later performed in the office.
